Expanding over 27,000 square miles across most of northeastern Arizona, majority of Navajo Nation is located atop the Colorado Plateau. Navajo only known to many as home to the majestic Monument Valley; with an area larger than ten of the U.S. States there are plenty of serene locations waiting to be brought to life thru the lens. With a large variation in altitude throughout the Navajo Nation the landscape various from deserts, lakes, canyons, forest to mountains.

Two giant, sandstone pillars that stand alongside the road, this natural rock formation resembles a pair of elephant feet. 25 miles east of Tuba City, AZ.

Elephant Feet

At 185 feet tall, this waterfall is located near the community of Leupp, AZ. The falls do not run through the year; the best times to visit are during the monsoon season and early spring after the snow melts. 19 miles northwest of Leupp, AZ. Travel Leupp Rd. 15, go north on Indian Route 6910.

Grand Falls

The Navajo Nation entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park, the Little Colorado River Gorge is a scenic overlook of plunging canyon and beautiful mountain scenery. 10 miles west of Cameron, AZ.

A unique area of the United States where 4 states, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado, meet together. 6 miles north of Teec Nos Pos, AZ, 25 miles south of Aneth, UT, 20 miles west of Ute Mountain Tribal Park Center

Four Corners Monument

A beautiful arch hidden on the backroads of Chinle, AZ, this natural arch eroded through Wingate Sandstone. Travel north of Chinle intersection towards Many Farms, AZ for 2 miles to County Road 669, go east through Indian Route 8090 for 5.5 miles. Park and walk north to the arch.

Hope Arch

Sculpted over millions of years by water and wind, this sandstone slot canyon is an extraordinary place for photographers, filmmakers, tourists and visitors from all around the world. The canyon is hidden below hill and rock formations, and not easy to spot from ground level. A man-made staircase descends down into the canyon and a guided tour will take you through the wonderous landscape. 5.5 miles east of the Welcome to Page sign.

Lower Antelope Canyon

This lake is located off the 264 Highway, 3 miles northeast of Ganado, AZ. Highway 264 will bring you to BIA Rd. 37, on the north side of the highway with a sign to Ganado Lake at the turn off. The lake is approximately 2 miles from the main road and can be seen from the highway.

A major vacation destination in the city of Page, AZ, Lake Powell is an artificial reservoir that flows through Arizona and Utah. Parts of the lake are run by the Lake Power Tribal Park and can be accessed through Antelope Point Marina.

Lake Powell

Located in the northeastern part of the Navajo Nation, this mountain range consists of red rocks, pine trees, and is home to Buffalo Pass and Roof Butte. The mountain reaches a height of approx. 9500 feet above sea level and meets the Chuska Mountain range as it reaches the New Mexico state border.
